About

I live in Broomfield, Colorado, which is situated right between Boulder and Denver. Like so many, I'm a Colorado transplant. I followed my wife out here after she went to the University of Colorado for graduate school, and we stayed.

I practice real estate law at a Denver firm. I have a lot of other interests in and outside of law, though. Within law, I have interests in real estate (obviously), business contracts, intellectual property, and telecommunications, and in general I find the relationships between technological, social and legal change intriguing. In college, I was a philosophy major, and I still like to read in both Western and Eastern philosphy sometimes. Most recently, I've been reading up on Buddhism. Beyond all that, I have interests in computing, music, photography, and aviation. I also hold an amateur radio license, but I don't have much equipment and don't get on the air often. Most of my outside interests have gotten very little attention since my wonderful little daughter arrived in December 2007.

What this site is not

My musings about the law that appear on this site are not meant to provide legal information that readers can use to solve their legal problems and answer their legal questions. If I write about something law-related on this weblog, I'm not trying to provide legal advice, and I'm not asking anyone else to provide legal advice for me or to hire me or my firm. I try to provide quality information (on those occasions when I try to provide information at all), but I make no claims, promises or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or adequacy of the information contained in or linked to from tph-lex.com or mcfp.org.
